What You Need To Know About MacloggerDX and LOTW

I get a lot of good questions from my subscribers and this is no exception. I am in the process of loading up a new-to-me Apple MacBook Pro for Ham Radio so the answer to this one is fresh in my memory. From Guy, VA7GI, "I have a LoTW certificate and have activated the TQSL app on my Mac. But the MLDX LoTW preferences are confusing, asking for credentials that I can’t find on the LoTW website."

How do we setup MacLoggerDX to use LOTW

Let's start with LOTW. Make sure you have a "Station Location" configured in LOTW. This part is easy, so just give it a simple name like "Home" or "Your City".

In TQSL select Staion Locations and then click on "Create a New Station Location."

How To Use LOTW with MLDX

It's very easy and that's why I love MLDX. From the picture above you'll see that I don't have enabled "Upload Logged QSOs in Real Time", but if you enable that it'll complete the upload automatically when a QSO is logged. I have it disabled because I don't always have an Internet connection while traveling.

Here's the color code chart from MacLoggerDX. You'll see what I mean in the video below.
