MuteMate – WebSDR MuteSwitch – PTT Muting Circuit For Internet Receivers

Why Use Internet Receivers, WebSDR or KiwiSDR?
I mainly use them when conditions are poor and sometimes the band exhibits one way propagation. When that's the case, the other station may be able to hear me, but I can't hear them.
At other times when I am calling a net I won't hear a station because I usually run some power. I can usually get by with the help of a relay though. However, it's nice to hear their transmission when they give it.
At other times I may have local noise, QRN, and I can't hear many stations at all. The Internet receivers are a big help when this happens, whether I am running a net or not.
Other times I may have QRM from another station in close proximity to me or a station at a distance that splatters.
There are many situations where using a Internet receiver will come in handy.
IMO, it's always better to work out the receiver problems if I can and not use Internet receivers, but sometimes it's just not possible!
When I'm Portable I use Internet Receivers
When I'm boondocking and running my generator I have to use Internet receivers and when I'm in a campground with others near me I use them because of QRN coming from nearby RVs.
I prefer traditional operating, because it's always more fun for me to use my transceiver as it is intended. This WebSDR MuteSwitch is great though and makes it more fun when using the Internet receivers, because I don't have the added frustration (or work) of manually trying to mute my computer.
WebSDR MuteSwitch - Improved PTT Muting Circuit
This is a new and improved PTT control for using Internet receivers. One of the big improvements is the size. It's small (SMD) and a case will be coming in the near future. Maybe I'll 3D print it.
How it works!
Thank you
