I have taken the opportunity to create comparison videos featuring the Icom 7610 and Elecraft K3S. The purpose behind this was to draw comparisons between their respective receivers, when used for SSB and CW. It's important to acknowledge that both of these radios exhibit superb performance. Despite the Elecraft being significantly older than its counterpart, it continues to demonstrate an impressive tenacity by maintaining high standards in quality and reliability.

Icom 7610 and Elecraft K3S

Both are great radios. New the Icom IC-7610 is around $3,200, but you can pick up one from Japan for a lot less, $2,400 on eBay.

Old Elecraft K3S's can be picked up on eBay at various prices. Check the options included in these radios and check the sellers rating before purchasing on that platform. I would only buy a K3S with upgrades.

Other good sources for used radios are the support forums for the radios, QRZ and commercial ham radio shops.
