Coming Soon to Regions 1/2 – New Icom 7300 and IC-7610 Firmware
Upgrading Icom 7300 Firmware
You do not have to do upgrades serially now. Long ago there was once a requirement for an intermediate step. Rob, NC0B
One should always keep one's firmware current so as to benefit from undocumented improvements and code optimisations. Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Rich,
Yesterday I sent you a message (I think iy went through) about a series of spurs that I was receiving all across the spectrum. I also attempted to send you a photo of my waterfall showing this situation. Today I recalled seeing something in the manual about a system rest. I attempted the partil reset, and every thing cleared up! Hallelujah! So, do you have any ides what was happening?
Hi Bob,
It’s great to hear that the partial system reset helped clear up the issue you were having with the spurs across the spectrum! In terms of what could have been happening, there are several possibilities. It may have been a software glitch or a temporary issue with the radio’s internal settings. Sometimes, these issues can occur due to minor inconsistencies in the firmware, which get resolved once the system is reset. If the issue reoccurs, it might be worth looking into more deeply. For now, I’m glad to hear that your radio is working well again!

Rich, K0PIR
