I will have an article and pictures of my camper and solar installation. More testing of the ICOM 7300 with VARA HF from there. Will the HiQ mobile antenna work good on the camper? We’ll find out.

We have recently organized a group of hams to learn/practice/utilize P2P Winlink for ‘grid-down’ messaging, and have standardized on VARA. The group has grown to over 70 members in about two months, and we are becoming active in various SETS. Our experience and methodical testing indicates that the registered version of VARA is about 65 times faster than ARDOP. It’s like magically changing Bytes/minute into Bytes/second.
