Operating RS-BA1 Remote Icom 7610 from Camper
This is what I got it for, RS-BA1 Remote Software, so I could operate my home station from the camper when I wanted to. This is working out very well and I have not had any issues with it shutting down and not coming up when I want it. See how it works in the video below!

If you haven't already, please see my other posts and videos on RS-BA1.
Although I have tried this at home using the LAN I have never USED IT MUCH from the road and using my cellular data.
Remote Operation Of The Icom 7610
This has worked beautifully and I have not had any issues so far, with the exception of having a slow connection and the sound breaking up, but that is not the fault of RS-BA1.
With this experience I may upgrade to the latest version of RS-BA1.

Rich…Just wantched your video, and set up my new RS-BA1. Made a few contacts. It seems to work! But….Have you been able to switch antennas from the display? It seems you have to enable it (on-off). But when I switch it to On, it goes right back to Off. Can’t figure this out!.
Thanks for any thoughts!
….Dave
Hi Dave,
It’s nice to hear from you and thank you for posting your question here.
I could be wrong, but I think that only comes with the latest version of RS-BA1. I can’t control my antennas either.
See the link to the Facebook group. Jeff, W6FCC has great information on both versions.

Rich…got it working. I think I mucked with the rig settings. So, at the moment, everything works! But only from my LAN. How to do all that port forwarding, and whatever is required to get it to work from a campground is still perplexing me. You mentioned doing a video on that setup. Sure would appreciate it, ‘cuz I’m stuck!

Hi Dave,
That’s great! Most routers have port fordwarding, but routers vary. You’ll want to do port forwarding on your router for the ports 50001-50003. See this post Icom Remote Operation and Router Settings
I had to forward each port individually. I hope this helps and thank you so much for visiting my website and videos. Best 73! Rich, K0PIR
