Hamvention 2017: Ham Radio, SDR, APRS, AMSAT And More
I'll have my APRSDroid going with my the call sign K0PIR-5.
Nets While Traveling to The Hamvention
It's always fun for me to check into the Breakfast club net on 3.973 MHz when driving. Early Thursday and Friday morning will be the days I'm on. Thursday in the afternoon I'll be on 20 meters and looking to check into the YL System on 14.332 MHz. Midcars is a new 40 meter net for me, so I'm going to try it out. The Tarheel 200A works FB on 40 meters and 80 meters. Another net I have always liked is the OMISS Net. I haven't checked into it in some time, but I remember my number, #3692!
Hamvention Forums
At the Hamvention I'm really looking forward to seeing some Hams I know and making new friends, face to face. There are a number of forums I would like to attend. The Software Defined Radio forum, APRS, AMSAT and some others sound very interesting.
I'll try to get some good video and post some photos while I'm there. You can also follow this on Twitter - Rich@K0PIR, Facebook - K0PIR and YouTube- Ham Radio K0PIR.
Thanks for coming by and thank you for the e-mails. I appreciate getting them. I'm working on an interesting idea for the Icom 7300 and getting it working with a pan adapter. So that's to come in the near future.
If you're going to the Hamvention, please comment below! Best 73 and good DX - Rich, K0PIR
